Yes true.
Here in Holland we even have an Animal party it has 2 seats in Parliament. If you have more of these parties in every country it would do a lot of good for the animals I believe.
It is the world's first party to gain parliamentary seats with an agenda focused primarily on animal rights.
Those Chinese people . They are doing to those poor, sweet, harmless animals .......... It was one of the most cruelty thing I have ever watched .......... They are much worse than Cruella DeVil

It is good that there is this theme. It is a pity to me that I still badly know English. I should read a lot of time it. I many years tried to do a shelter for animals in Kherson. But our authorities cannot help peopels, and they simply do not look at animals. At me I am a lot of photo which cannot simply put. It would be desirable to cry. Simply on eyes will cripple. Break legs. Unscrew tails. We do not have law which can protect animals. Painfully.

Вот что засняли на видео. По обочине дороги деловито трусит небольшая мохнатая дворняжка. Вдалеке у забора видно еще несколько жучек и полканов. Некто, сидящий в кабине "газели", берет ружье, спокойно, не торопясь, целится и стреляет. Вот живодер пошел за "добычей". Возвращается, таща за заднюю лапу то, что минуту назад было собакой. Привычным движением забрасывает труп в кузов. Еще несколько ходок, и в кузове уже с полдюжины разномастных псин, которым не повезло. А наш "труженик" не обращает ни малейшего внимания на прохожих – ни на взрослых, бегущих по своим делам, ни на девочку лет восьми-девяти со школьным портфелем, что стоит рядом с его автомобилем и смотрит.
- Я услышала крик, шум и сразу же вышла на улицу, - рассказывает пенсионерка Ирина Скороход, которая ежедневно подкармливала псов. – Смотрю, бежит мальчик лет шести-семи и плачет. Я к нему, спрашиваю: «Тебя кто-то обидел?» А малыш отвечает: «Нет, бабушка, там собачек убивают!» Я бегом к рынку, а там уже моя знакомая дерется с этим мужчиной, пытается ружье отобрать. Но нам, пожилым женщинам, с мужиком никак не справиться. Мы толкаем его, а он стреляет!
"Я уверена, что вы тоже знаете о Бородянке – об этом ужасном концлагере для бедных братьев наших меньших. В апреле месяце я посмотрела программу на ТНТ и была в шоке от показанных кадров. На отлов выходят ночью, специальным сильнодействующим снотворным усыпляют их, т.е. убивают, а тех, кто выжил, отправляют на долгую смерть в Бородянку. Там животных бьют, не кормят и через некоторое время уничтожают.
Увидев такое, я не могла спать. Через 2 недели поехала туда. Что я там увидела? В одной небольшой клетке – собак 30. Еле-еле выбрали маленького щеночка – худющего, страшнющего. Нам не хотели его отдавать. Пришлось побегать по инстанциям, и только на следующий день нам удалось ее выкупить. Собака с отлова стоит 75 грн.
Щенка нам принесли – собака не могла даже ходить. Вы видели когда-нибудь фильм о людях в концлагерях? То же самое: кости, обтянутые кожей, на теле множество ран от каких-то крючков (ловили так).
Они - отходы промысла профессиональных торговцев. Приглядитесь внимательнее к окрестностям "птичьего рынка" в вашем городе. Где-то это лесок неподалеку, где-то парк или промышленная зона. Земля там усеяна коробками, которые стали братской могилой только-только увидевших свет котят и щенков.
Они умирают мучительно, отравленные красителями в результате попыток превратить их в желанную покупателю породу. Гибнут от истощения, потому что поточный промысел торговцев не предусматривает кормежки, тепла, лечения. Они - средство немудрящего обогащения профессиональных душегубов.
Отдавая котят и щенков перекупщикам в обмен на обещание "пристроить их в хорошие руки", не обманывайте себя: большую часть этих едва зародившихся искорок жизни вы сможете потом обнаружить в окрестностях "птички". Мертвыми.

But unfortunately we do not even see many people signing a petition, while we see hot discussions what other major problems in the world or FSU are, criticism of LL actions, and the firm refusal to donate money to some real people who devoted their lives to make this world a better place, for kids and adults and animals.

I think first 2 banners are not informative enough. It says "please help" but you can't really see anything, i'd never figured out it was (probably) a dog under rain, if i did not know what it's all about. it is JUST MY HUMBLE OPPINION, but i'd suggest to use the pups. They are cute everybody wants to help them .

all these dogs on the banners are real dogs from shelter and those little cute guys were rescued in Khmelnik,
Vinnitsya region by one of our admins who was there by accident and was fighting local "big daddies" trying
to save local dogs from being poisoned.
To date, there are only 68 petitioners. We need to reach 5,000. I suggest you to spread it to your friends and family who are not LL members. I send out last night to friends and family. The Number 62, a 'Mark Le'May' is my friend. It is a start!
It is a lot of people at us can sign this petition, but they are not able to work with the Internet and do not know English. To me to be very difficult now it is frequent on the Internet. But at us many such rollers in a life. I cannot look it. I see it every day. Many women hold on 20 - 30 cats and dogs in small apartments. For very small salaries. This very bad maintenance, but all таки it not street. Soon winter.

The situation here is terrible.
I lived in Lutsk in the very center of the city. My windows face the central square.
All my life the square was a place for young moms and little children....and packs of dogs.
This is wrong, those dogs could be evil, I know, BUT sometimes I heard the shootings and yelping at night.
Once when I was ten or eleven, we found a dog dieng in blood in our porch. Maybe he
ran away, I and my friend were stressed and we were even let to go home from
school because we both had a high temperature.
People sometimes tried to hide some dogs to save them.
I remember i asked when i first come to the USA: where are your street dogs?
I read here that people told that children are more important, but you know all suffer from this cruelty,
and children are the first.
guys who think that helping animals in UA means not loving children, could u pls tell me what that person who started the shelter for pets is? do you think she hates children or that she thinks animals matter more? and do you think she should deal with the problem of stray animals all alone while we will be discussing whether it is nobel or not to support this protest and change the situation of stray animals in UA?
or maybe you think she is sick in her head? well she is sick of indifference and asking for help so she took the challenge herself and all we have to do now is to support what she is doing by signing the petition, TELLING OTHERS and donating,
don't you understand that in a country where animals are treated well, people will be treated well too, because once we learn how to be indifferent and not to go with the flow, we will never tolerate any injustice.
it does not mean that we should help animals only, it means that helping animals is not something wrong or to be embarrased about
Indifference means no soul, I agree, and problem of stray animals is not an emotional problem, so it is not about being a pet lover or not, it is a social problem, ppLL, it's about how we can take responsibilities and be good models for our children.
