(Editors Note: This is a story of success and how it was achieved) I wanted to share with you all my long distance relationship success story in the hope that it might help someone. My boyfriend and I were involved in a long distance relationship for over a year. We met here on LuckyLovers and thankfully our relationship began. I was between jobs and had a couple of weeks at home with nothing to do but talking with people all over the world. I kept receiving private messages asking me to sign on to webcam or send a photo, etc... I was so tired of it that finally when the last message appeared I went off. I asked this one man if anyone could enjoy a nice friendly chat without asking for pics and stuff. Well he thought this was amusing so he made a joke out of it and we began to have a nice chat. We spent many hours "talking", sharing photos, discussing our children and friends. We became very close and began to let down our respective walls. We had our good and bad days, huge phone bills and sleepless nights but every minute was exciting making me feel so alive. We almost broke up once and I was almost ready to give up but I realized that I really loved him and wanted to be with him so much. Even though I am not young and do not have all the time in the world I was willing to wait hanging on to the hope that someday we would be together again. We made it work. The best advice I can give to my friends here on LL is to stick it out through the tough times because the reward will be so much greater. What I have with him is worth it. It is worth every lonely night, every tear I cry from missing him, and the pain I feel from not having him close. It is worth it because he is my one and only. When I picture myself years from now, I see only him. No matter how painful distance can be, not having him in my life would be worse | ||||||||||
