so many variants..:) first they think when it is the best time to make children, then they hesitate, then they find reasons to go for it or not, then they wait till some life steps like work or study or anything else taken... and then they see that its too late:)
Go and do it, right now:)
It is for sure too late to think over when everything happened but for some strange reason everything works out then:)..

Why strange?

Because i should know because i am 49 or because u feel i am too old?

U know dear, since Norway is a cold country we do as the bears here - we go into a cave in winter. And since i have visited "your country and seen "your men", i can can tell with 100% security 49 years old here is as maybe the same as 30-30 at your place

If a relationship is not solid the coming of a child will highlight it's problems even more.
Many couples use the birth of a child as an excuse to not address issues of their relationship, the problem with this is that - even if this tactic is successful for a few years- finally when the child is old enough not to require 100% of their attention, surprise surprise, the problems are still there only bigger!!

I would suppose when a couple decide to have a child they already know they want to be with each other, have enough time together already and are not waiting for this moment to decide if the relationship is solid...

As for the when a child should come, there will never be a perfect time so let it come when it chooses.

First of all, the question itself is asked in quite a strange form. Should not it sound something like "How quickly should partners in a couple wait until having a baby after they've got married?" or something like that?
The answer to the question is easy anyways:
When both of partners in a couple feel that they want to have a baby/serio...
Anyways it's difficult to speak about what people should and should not.. However a baby needs a lot of care, love and looot of responsibility from the parent's side and of course parents being happy themselves. Therefore the part of "wait and see how relationship works" sounds pretty good to me. The part about making relationship safer sounds pretty stupid though. As Anna already said before, it's nothing to do with a baby but only with partners in a couple themselves, it's their work to make it safer... Anyways having a baby or brining relationship to more serious level should be done when both partner are ready... and that's it :))))))

snow_flake, I've travelled a lot, believe me. You can flatter yourself as much as you wish. But I know for sure, that in 49 a person will not look like in 30-35, no matter which country you live in. I don't know which "my men" you saw. I communicate with normal men who look well and suitable for their age.

wow this a strange thing to talk about but as always i will put my 2 cents in:
My opinion is that the relationship should be established for a minimum of at least 6-8 months of marriage in which the couple should really feel comfortable that they are there for the long haul.. by this time you should have figured out compatibility issues.. because once the child arrives it is the duty as parents to be in constant vigilance in the care and needs more so if there are twins (you never know)
I also feel that the guy should be as attentive in the care of the children not just the mom i see that so many times especially in Latin men where the ladies are the sole person in charge of the child' s care as an infant. i figure its half your .. the ladies can have babies by them selves with out the aids of the males gene pool....

i my self feel that this is a full task. since i have never had any children i feel that it is a huge step in the relationship and should be planed out not just PUFFFFFF because its the famous line when you here this "GUESS WHAT????YOUR GONNA BE A DADDY " you best be prepared if you had no planes of it ... just don,t faint

I got 2 because i realized i probably get old because reumatism bothers me. And having one girl at each side of me keeps me warm and then reumatism is gone.

I also have problem with neck, so maybe i need third girl as pillow
